Coronavirus - Update on CRPD's Classes, Programs, Leagues, and Facilities

May contain: fruit, strawberry, plant, and food

Date: May 15, 2020

From: Mike Blondino, District Administrator

Subject: Summer Special Events

Due to the restrictions to the size of gatherings, the timing, and the average attendance, the Fourth of July Fireworks Show and Concerts in the Park series have been canceled. These are large scale community events that require proper planning, permitting, and financial investment that CRPD cannot support at this time without knowing:

  • When they will be allowed to occur, i.e. restrictions will be lifted
  • What additional safety and sanitization regulations will need to be adhered to for the events
  • What actual impact the COVID-19 closures and cancellations will have on the District financially

We are saddened to cancel these annual summer events but look forward to them returning in 2021. CRPD's top priority continues to be the health and safety of all our participants, visitors, and staff. Thank you for your support and cooperation.
