After School Program (Grades 1st-8th)

May contain: human, person, play area, playground, clothing, footwear, apparel, shoe, lawn, park, grass, plant, and outdoors

The Kid’s Hang Out After School Program is operated by qualified staff and held at the La Sierra Community Center, Monday through Friday throughout the school year. Children are in a safe environment where they can do homework, have a nutritious snack, be active, explore their creativity, and socialize with others.

Transportation is provided from your child’s school to the La Sierra Community Center.

We also provide additional transportation for our participants who have after-school activities such as band, dance, tutoring, and sports for an additional charge.

The program is offered to Barrett, Carmichael, Deterding, and California Montessori Project (CMP) - Carmichael Campus. For all other school inquiries please email Our Recreation Coordinatoror call (916) 483-7826.

Program Dates: August 12, 2024 - June 13, 2025

Program Hours: Monday to Friday, 2:00pm – 6:00pm

Wednesdays, 1:00pm – 6:00pm (CMP Early Release)

Thursdays, 1:00pm – 6:00pm (SJUSD Early Release)

All Students will be picked up by Program Vans as schools get out.

Fees: Part Time: Attends 1-3 Days/Week
$85 (R) $90 (NR)

Full Time: Attends 4-5 Days/Week
$105 (R) $110 (NR)
