Enjoy an afternoon of oil painting in plein air with Artist Rhonda Egan at Jensen Botanical Gardens located at Sutter-Jensen Community Park.

In partnership with the Sacramento Fine Arts Center, students in this workshop will learn how to work with a palette knife, edit the intricacies of nature and find the simplified shapes for a powerful composition, create rich color, and separate light from shadow.

Students with experience can work more independently, receiving tips as she coaches individual students. This class is recommended for students who have some experience in painting in oil.

About the Instructor: Rhonda Egan is a Master Artist member of Northern California Arts. She has studied art throughout her life, received numerous awards, and has been teaching and painting outdoors for 25 years.
