Glancy Oaks Park - Measure G Projects 

The Measure G projects have started at Glancy Oaks Park!  The following are included in this phase:

  • Demo and grading of the existing play area.
  • New playground structure and surface.
  • ADA Work including accessible, paved park entry at the southwest corner of the park, exterior routes of travel, ramps, and drinking fountains.
  • Completion Timeline - This project is expected to be completed approximately February 2026.

Timeline:

  • Current Progress (January 2026) - Final steps in playground and play surface installation. Installation of the capstones for the new sitting wall are pending supply arrival. Ribbon Cutting Ceremony scheduled for Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at 11am at Glancy Oaks Park near the playground.
  • December 2025 -The playground is being installed, and the sitting wall is nearing completion. New sitting wall cap is pending installation as supplies are delayed and pending arrival.
  • November 2025 - Playground preparation is complete. New playground planned for installation this month or early December.  Accessible pathways and entrance completed.
  • October 2025 - Preparation of new playground area and continued work on accessible pathway and entrance. 
  • September 2025 - Preparation and paving on accessible pathways continue. Basketball court resurfacing and painting completed.
  • August 2025 -  Construction is underway on new accessible pathways, helping make the park more inclusive and easier to navigate for all.  The basketball court resurfacing and painting are planned this month.
  • July 29, 2025 - Groundbreaking Event
  • June 2025 - Awarded and executed construction contract
  • May 16, 2025 - Advisory Board Meeting - Action 4 - Approve Updated Total Project Budget and Accept the Lowest Responsible Bid from Saenz Landscape Construction for Glancy Oaks Park Improvement Project
  • November 21, 2024 - Design Presentation at the Advisory Board Meeting - Meeting Presentation
