Cardinal Oaks Park - Measure G Projects

The Measure G projects are coming soon to Cardinal Oaks Park!  The following are included in this phase:

  • Demo and grading of existing play area.
  • New playground structure and surface.
  • ADA Work including exterior routes of travel, ramps and drinking fountains.
  • Added pedestrian lighting.
  • New parking lot at south-end of the park.

Project Completion Estimated Timeline: Fall 2026

Timeline: 

  • Current Progress (March 2026): Re-released RFP for Landscape Contracting Services. Intent to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder, Xeela Engineering LLC was approved by the Advisory Board on 3/19/25 (Action 2). Due to the amount, the contract was sent to the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors for approval.
  • December 2025: Released RFP for Landscape Contracting Services.
  • November 2025 - Received permits from the County of Sacramento
  • November 2024 - Plans submitted to County of Sacramento for permits. Awaiting permits.
  • October 17, 2024 - Design Presentation at the Advisory Board Meeting - Presentation
  • October 1, 2024 - Community Meeting - Community Meeting Presentation
  • September - October 2024 - Community Online Survey
