On July 18, 2024, the Carmichael Recreation and Park District Advisory Board received a presentation from Wormhoudt, Inc. regarding a skatepark design for Carmichael Park. Below is the presentation slideshow as well as the cost estimate.

How did we get here?
Wormhoudt, Inc. was hired by CRPD to work with community members on a vision for a future skatepark at Carmichael Park.
An online community survey was completed from April 12, 2024, through April 26, 2024, to receive feedback on design options.
Two focus groups were then held on May 7, 2024, and June 11, 2024, in which members of the community shared their likes and dislikes on design options and provided great input for the designers at Wormhoudt, Inc. to consider when working on the skatepark design.
On June 27, 2024, a public input and feedback meeting was held at the Clubhouse at Carmichael Park. Community members worked alongside the designer from Wormhoudt, Inc. to further hone in on design elements.
As shared above, the presentation of the skatepark design was provided to CRPD Advisory Board and the community at the Advisory Board meeting on July 18, 2024. Directors and community members were both given the opportunity to ask questions and provide input and comments.
Important Note: While there are no identified funds for the construction of this project currently, let's work together to create a vibrant vision for what one in this community could look like.
