Clean Air Day Tree Planting Project

May contain: person, human, clothing, apparel, pants, and soil

On October 16, 2021 we celebrated the 4th Annual California Clean Air Day by planting trees at the La Sierra Community Center.  With the help of SMUD, the Kiwanis Club of Carmichael, the Sacramento Tree Foundation, and CMP, staff and volunteers were able to plant 12 new trees near the soccer and baseball fields.  Planting trees are a great way to improve air quality by removing pollutants and will provide shade for the students, teachers, young players, and families that use the sports fields.
